About me: 
My name is Ekaterina Druz. I am specialising in equine photography, especially i love to take pictures of akhalteke horses. But I also shoot other animals as well.
My background of classic art school, significant knowledge of horse anatomy and treatment helps a lot to make better pictures.
I treat horses and other animals as models, deserving respect and loving attitude. The fact that I owned beautiful akhalteke gelding for many years, adds to my ability to communicate with animals, understanding their beauty on deeper personal level.
I photograph animals always focusing on their uniqueness, keeping in mind that every animal is a personality. That is why I usually try to get as much information about my model as possible. As a rule I discuss with the owner the horse and the environment this horse live in. Proud stallion, caring mare or sly foal… they are so different and unique, hope you noticed that on my pictures.
I live in Moscow,Russia, but i try to shoot horses all over the world. My photographs regularly appears in horse magazines, calendars,postcards etc. I made a report about unique Abkhazia horses and wrote an article about them in My Horse magazine.
Awarded silver prize at international contest “Equiphoto” in 2008, awarded bronze prize at Bozaya Dog club photo contest, bronze prize awarded in International Akhalteke Photo Contest and winner of other different contests. Participated in Gabrielle Boiselle clinic in 2008.
